Shin Young-soo, CEO of CJ Logistics, declared, “The company now stands at a critical turning point in its evolution into a global tech enterprise. By advancing technology and actively transferring domestically proven innovations overseas, we will rise to become a ‘Global Top 10 logistics company’ by our 100th anniversary in 2030.”
CJ Logistics announced on the 24th that it had successfully held its 2025 First Half Town Hall Meeting at the headquarters in Jongno, Seoul, on the 22nd. The hybrid on/offline event was attended by CEO Shin and company employees, who reviewed first-half achievements and shared strategies and visions for the second half.
During his remarks, Shin stated, “The first half of this year was a period of laying the foundation for achieving second-half results. We must face our performance with clarity and ensure a leap forward based on unrivaled competitiveness.”
Shin called for a quantum leap toward transforming into a global tech logistics company. His vision is to export cutting-edge technologies accumulated at the TES Logistics Technology Research Center—already proven in Korea—into global markets, thereby simultaneously maximizing clients’ logistics productivity and securing new growth engines.
He also stressed the need to strengthen future capabilities in logistics automation and artificial intelligence (AI). Shin noted, “We must raise process automation rates by implementing real-time decision-making and autonomous operation systems based on CJ Logistics’ proprietary operational data and AI. We must also quickly secure robotics development capabilities to lead future markets.”
The CEO then presented future directions for each business division:
O-NE (Parcel) Division: Expansion of TES-based optimization and automation technologies, and diversification of delivery portfolios (O-NE Daily, same-day, dawn delivery, etc.).
Contract Logistics (CL) Division: Enhancement of productivity-control models to improve client logistics efficiency, with a focus on converting potential 1PL (in-house logistics) companies into 3PL (third-party logistics) clients.
Global Business Division: Proactive introduction of proven technologies from Korea, reinforcement of contract logistics operations in key markets such as the U.S. and India, and expansion of cross-border e-commerce (CBE) businesses including reverse direct purchase and Global Distribution Centers (GDC).
Shin also underlined the importance of a reward-driven organizational culture. He said, “By providing immediate rewards for achievements, we will motivate employees and create an environment where everyone can grow through new challenges.” Reflecting this commitment, CJ Logistics expanded its award system beyond the traditional year-end recognition. The newly established ‘Value-up Awards’ were presented to four teams and two individuals who created meaningful results aligned with business strategy.
The event also featured an introduction from Jonathan Song, the newly appointed Head of the Global Division. Sharing his strategic direction, Song pledged, “To advance as a global 3PL company, we will actively implement overseas network expansion, strengthen sales capabilities, and execute efficiency strategies.”
