▶ Global affiliates’ executives and employees at CJ Logistics are attending the TES Global Workshop

CJ Logistics held the eighth TES (Technology, Engineering, System and Solution) Global Workshop. The workshop serves as a collaborative event where advanced logistics technologies, best practices and insights are exchanged between the headquarters and its affiliates. Employees from CJ Logistics headquarters as well as its four global subsidiaries, CJ Logistics America (USA), CJ Darcl (India), CJ Gemadept (Vietnam) and CJ Century (Malaysia), attended the workshop. The TES Global Workshop is based on CJ Logistics’ TES Master Plan, a mid-to-long-term strategy to advance automation, optimization and intelligence which is anchored in its fundamental principles of Technology, Engineering, and Systems & Solutions.

The eighth TES Global Workshop focused on affiliate-led projects. CJ Logistics America unveiled ambitious plans to unlock new business prospects by introducing a new warehouse management system that expands into cold chain logistics. The U.S. subsidiary also introduced an AI visual picking solution, which uses AI-based devices to help workers quickly locate products to pick the right products, maximizing time and cost efficiency.

Meanwhile, CJ Darcl displayed its upgraded transport management system, which includes more than 1,200 business data scenarios. As the leading transport company in India, CJ Darcl plans to enhance flexibility and stability by modularizing various transport-related functions such as dispatch and vehicle management. The Indian subsidiary also aims to improve responsiveness by continuously developing technology in collaboration with local partners. 

Additionally, the Vietnamese subsidiary, CJ Gemadept, discussed implementing automated data analysis tools, while the Malaysian subsidiary, CJ Century, focused on enhancing stable operations and management systems, as well as including the implementation of a customer contract management system.

The Korean headquarters shared key technologies for optimized storage operations, such as a simulation function and the Mini AGV Assorting System (MAAS), an automated sorting system handling large volumes at the Integrated Crocs Logistics Center. The headquarters also shared future development directions centered on robotics, AI and big data.
